  1. Doug keeps using the phrase "at this price" like it's nothing $30k is a year or more of wages for the majority of people. $30k is alot of money for not alot of vehicle its BS that the car market is this shitty

  3. Casually "forgot" to mention that the automatic transmission is…… a CVT. Pass. The Mazda 3 is the last holdout, Honda, Toyota, Subaru, and Nissan all submitting to the CVT mistake. Mazda is also – by the way – a superior car in every way, and the Mazda 3 turbo, for those that want power, has 70 more horsepower and is within 100 pounds of the Civic, and that's with a solid 6-spd auto. Honda's 177 lb ft of torque is nearly DOUBLED by the Mazda's 320….. there's just no comparison at all. As far as reliability – I still have a 2005 Mazda 3 hatchback. 190,000 miles, and the ONLY repair I've ever done besides general maintenance is a…….. power window switch.

  4. As someone who seriously wants to buy a Honda Civic Type R next I'll clearly not buy the 2022 version. I don't like it at all. The ~2020 version just looks awesome but this? Typical sedan lol.

  5. The new Honda civic is literally uglier then the last one. Just when I thought they could not make it any more unappealing, they proved me wrong. WoW! WtF! happened to you Honda. You used to be awesome, now you are Japanese Chrysler(NOT a compliment).

  6. My mom tried to buy this car, but Honda didn't have any. They have only two Civics on the entire lot. She ended up getting a used one from 2019 that barely had any miles on it. This new version is definitely an evolution as many things are pretty similar that the last gen.

  7. In my family, we have not one but TWO Honda Civic hatchbacks 2018 (& one is a manual / stick shift and the other is an auto transmission). ONE really hard thing to get used to is the HORRIBLE interface with an iPhone plug in and the user interaction with the big screen … simply put … it sucks …!!! at least in the 2018 year. It is simply NOT intuitive to use.

  8. "a good car like Civics have always been"
well, except the 2012. the 2012 MY Civic was so bad and miserable that Honda rushed the midcycle refresh out plus other revisions for the 2013 MY.

  9. It's honestly sad how Hyundai and Kia are blowing Honda out of the water with features and pricing. Not only that, they just straight up have nicer looking cars too.

  10. I’m a long time KIA owner but I must say this is a sharp Honda Civic for 2022. I looked at Civics years ago but Honda wants more money.

  11. im not that much of a car guy anymore but this in no way looks like a civic. This looks like a new accord that has fused with a hammerhead shark bro.

  12. It’s fun how Americans call this kind of cars “compact cars/ small cars”. Here in Italy you would be already in “cruise ship segment”😂😂

  13. I've noticed Doug hates Honda Products. He always reviews the base models from Honda and complains about interior material quality. Maybe if he were to review the top trim levels, you would find out that Honda offers a 10'' touch screen display, wireless apple car play, real leather, BOSE audio system, fob integrated remote start and premium wheels etc…

  14. I bought the Civic 11 a couple months ago and I have to say it was worth the wait. It looks and drives like a much more expensive car and get's great gas mileage. 10/10 would recommend

  15. I’ve had my 2022 Civic Sport for 2 months now, it was the only one on the lot. I’m into luxury cars and almost bought a used C Class Mercedes but knew the service would be more affordable on a Honda and would rather get a brand new car for the same sticker price. I love the car and it has fantastic features for the price! Doug is one of my favorite car guys, but his rating is unfair. This car is reliable and tech-savvy for the price and I would take it over a Mazda, Kia, or compact Corolla any day based on styling and value retention. Great and good looking daily driver!
